Ladies of Delta Phi Epsilon, May, 2004

I can’t believe it’s almost the end of the year!! I really wish I could be there for our last meeting, I miss everyone so much! It’s nice to be at home, but it gets kind of boring around here with no socials or meetings or dinners to go to. I’m doing a lot better, I’m mostly just tired a lot. I’m glad I got see some of you when I stopped by the Deepher Dude dinner and the bruises under my eyes finally went away so it doesn’t look like I got punched in both eyes anymore!!!

Yea!! I saw pictures of everyone from the formal and you all looked so beautiful I wish I could have been there! When I was still in the hospital, I tried to convince my parents to let me go and I promised I just wouldn’t drink. Then I saw a mirror and decided I wasn’t going anywhere!

I read through all of your cards when I got home (I waited until I was sure I would remember reading them though) and I wanted to thank all of you for thinking of me. All of the cards were so sweet and thoughtful and thinking about how great all of you have been makes me cry.

This whole thing has made me really thankful that I am a part of such an amazing sisterhood because all of your support has been such a huge help! All of your cards made me smile, and I wanted to share Christina’s card with everyone.

Top Ten Reasons why Hospitals are COOLER than Drexel…

Lauren (R), with her sorority big sister, Julie (L)

They bring you food
No midnight fire alarms
Comfy Beds
Air conditioning
No Shaft
Hot male doctors!
No Class!!!
You don’t have to walk everywhere
Your own room
Not having to worry about signing in guests

All of these are SO true…but I have to say the food was just as bad as Drexel’s!!

Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone for their support, and I can’t wait for our first fall term meeting!!! I’ll be at Drexel a couple more times before the term’s over picking up my stuff and taking a final so hopefully when I’m there I’ll get to see some of you, and if I don’t I hope you have a fun summer/summer term (don’t work too hard!)

I’m going to include a website that you can go to if you want that explains what I have better than I can..(I can’t even say the name… you’ll see why!) In the next couple weeks I’ll be getting more surgery and then treatments after that, so we’ll see what happens. It’s going to be a long road ahead but I’m confident everything will be ok. Thanks again, I love all of you!!!!!!!
